I switched from AHS to ARW a couple of years ago. Found ARW's service call fee a bit lower, and had fewer issues getting claims approved. AHS felt a bit more nickel and diming.

Both are pretty big, honestly. It often comes down to the specific plan and what's covered. Read the fine print on both, especially for the systems you care about most. My neighbor had AHS and liked it, but I've been happy with ARW.

Yeah, they do. I have a pretty old washer and dryer, and they've covered repairs for both. Not sure if there's an age limit, but mine are definitely not new.

They don't specifically exclude older appliances based on age afaik. The main thing is that they have to be in working order when your coverage starts. They won't cover pre-existing issues.

Usually, those kinds of intro deals like a free month get applied automatically when you go through the quote process on their site. I didn't have to put in a code for my first year.

Sometimes they have specific codes, but if it's a general promotion, it probably just shows up in your cart or something. If not, just ask over the phone, they're pretty good about it.

I think it's 30 days. You can't just sign up and then file a claim the next day for your broken AC.

Yeah, it's pretty standard for home warranties, usually around 30 days. It's to stop people from signing up only when something's already broken. So plan ahead!
